Reminds me of Asuka Langley, but unlike Shinji, I'm not going to be a sick fuck about it and masturbate over to this.

Honestly, looks very... NGE-inspired... I'm not saying that's a bad thing, since I've long since strayed from the strictly realistic path and started stylizing my humans' anatomy as seen in the manga adaption both realistic- and manga-wise (yea, you read that right.. the great anime-hating ilovenantes has started doing manga as a side style!), but there are a few flaws within the design of the armor.

Just the greatest nitpicks, really... like, how you decided to display the crotch area of the armor makes the actual crotch itself seem quite unintentionally so... large. Almost like she has a slight penis, you know? I would make it appear a little less voluminous by not quite putting so much emphasis on how you shaded the area. Kinda in a bulbous sorta way, y'know? And make the lines at the top shorter, too.

I'm not trying to be a douche ya know, but seems as you improve in some areas, you make questionable changes to others.

Minor mistakes pile up.

One of the things many people like me dislike about anime is how unrealistic and clumped together the hair looks. For instance, this picture. Some artists can pull it off, but you're only halfway there. It almost looks like you placed a gradient on the appropriate areas, although I know you most likely used the paintbrush tool combined with the blur tool or layered together multiple colors at once. My suggestion? Look at CLAMP's art, most remarkably 'Clover'. It has amazing detail, and that's the kind of art many people would actually appreciate and not just 'enjoy to look at'. Try drawspace.com to study how the hair strands are shaded--also, another piece of advice that you might have already heard... do not shade every strand. Otherwise it'd look bad. And please, please, give your hair more value--it looks rather dull with only two or three different 'shades' of yellow.

You seem to have avoided mistakes many beginners and novices have made--making the upper arms too long. Your elbows match up with the end row of the ribs, which is a good thing and you should pass that little secret on to any crappy animu artists so they'll one day become as good as Alien, Tae Kim, CLAMP, or Takashi (probably misspelled her name, but she's the creator of Inuyasha.)

The shading on the body and face are competent in nearly all parts, however I noticed it's slightly lacking in one area--the legs (which, strangely, has color bleeds through them and I assume this is intentional, so I'm not going to comment on that... since, this is a WIP and all.)

The shading on the folds of the jeans make it appear more sloppy than it really is. I'm not one to speak, for I don't draw jeans very often and usually only draw gowns and breeches, but I know that with a reference this would look miles better. And another thing: The values on the skin and bandages is good. Do the same thing on your hair and jeans and whatsoever.

Hopefully you won't forget to do the belt. Don't pick a color scheme that will ultimately work against the rest of the piece, is all I can say.

A background would be cool. Dunno what setting she's supposed to be in, but maybe something post-war could work. Just my thoughts.

I have no idea why you bothered critiquing a WIP that was also a first attempt at doing something other than cell-shading, but I appreciate the time you took to write this nonetheless.
I don't intend to draw bishoujo, so I will steer clear of CLAMP.

Alright, look.

You said you're going to quit Newgrounds, that we all suck. That we don't know how to give constructive criticism. The two pieces of criticism I left on your works (Pacman and Zafina) were legit, you simply don't like to hear the cold hard truth as it is and would rather have it sugarcoated and when people push you to the limit to teach you how to accept criticism as it can be, you stick your fingers in your ears and go LALALALALA all the while insulting them and posting bullshit reviews on their works. You have been outed for this, as the fellow Lintire has taken the time and decency to do so. You are a whiny manchild that cannot handle hearing things as they are. You even posted a "How to" guide to critiquing, even though you are NOT in the position to do so. And I'm sincerely glad that you were chewed upon and then spit out for it. Maybe it'll teach you how to suck it up and listen. And learn.

Oh, and whatever happened to Soul Girl?

As for this picture, you seem to get worse with each progressive submission. This was done almost a year ago, yet your recent submission Mrs. Pacman had many more flaws than this one. And if you'd bothered to listen to that review, you'd see why. This picture has many flaws in itself, do not mistake me for saying it doesn't. The arms are way too long, the elbows should hit her ribs. However, maybe the arms are not too out of proportions, for the abdomen and ribs are also unusually short. The bellybutton should be further away from the breasts, of which are too large to support her frame. Also, the horns look unnatural and simply looks as if they stick out of her hair as opposed to her actual skull. The area where the legs join also don't make sense; the crotch would be way too far down the bellybutton, and the thighs would give off the appearance of being too fat and short... and considering this is supposed to be sexy, I doubt you wanted to give off that effect. The boots and feet look horrid too. The soles are way too short and in real life, they'd hang lifelessly from the heels which are too far apart from the soles. The hands look fucked up, I'd suggest you go study from real life and photo references for them, NOT anime or manga. The loincloth looks lame and would definitely fall off her body in a second. The scythe is way too long and thin for her hand to hold and support. Make it a good few feet shorter and it should look better.

Well, there's a shitload more of horrific flaws in this shit of a piece, but I won't bother finishing the review as people have told you those flaws already... even though you won't listen, thus going back to my original point.

Oh, and this would never pass as a volume cover for some manga, the companies would laugh at you and rip this to pieces all the while telling you the exact same things both I and those people have already said. Hopefully, by then, you'll have learned to handle real criticism as it is and not throw a crybaby fit.

Okay...At first I thought..."This might be thoughtful." Then, as I kept reading and reading, I thought, "Okay, well agreed, however, using the F bomb and cursing at me in your reviews makes it hard for me to take as criticism." So, that's my opinion on it...So, uh, what else?

Interesting concept.

This overall is a nice piece, I'll tell you that. However, there are minor flaws that seemingly ruin it. For starters, on its 'chest', the lines are uneven. One side has more of it than the other, and at our right, the end looks as if it's going to 'bleed' the ink. Second, the toilet paper gives us some insight of its character, representing a bathroom decor, and the arms are pleasantly awry. However, they are also, uneven in some places and the lineart is shaky. And I highly suggest using acrylic paint in white as whiteout to erase the pen lines where the arms come out of the hole of the toilet paper. The eyes and flowers are cute.

5/10. Better luck next time, you can do it.
